Give peace a chance

Hi friends.

I haven’t written in a while. I’ve been kind of busy lately, figuring things out and what my next step in life ought to be.

A few weeks ago I went to the John Lennon and Yoko Ono PEACE exhibition here in Montreal. It was phenomenal, inspirational, and truly amazing. They really were ahead of their time, promoting peace, art, open mindedness, love, and happiness. The fact that John Lennon was shot for promoting this lifestyle is horribly and terribly ironic. I can just imagine how much change could have happened should he have lived on and continued his legacy with his beloved Yoko.

Here is a poem I came up with inspired by them.

Think. Hope. Love.

Why can’t there be peace?
Everyday there is more war and more hate in the world.
When will it end? How CAN it end?

Take my hand, dear neighbor and friend,
Let’s hope for the best.

Why is there so much anger? Why is there so much rage?
Is this what we intended?
Is this what we want?
Is there no other way?

Think. Hope. Love.
Think.
Hope.
Love.

To dream of the day that the white dove flies in with olive branches,
Is the day we will start a new world.

Our own world.
With no bloodshed.
With no guns.
With no hate.
With no war.
With love in our hearts, and peace in our minds,
Our new world will flourish.

Think. Hope. Love.

grey

warning: this is a dark poem.

“grey”

tell me where have all the good people gone?
is there really such a thing as life?
it seems to be an illusion.

nothing tends to last forever.
things turn grey.
things turn sour.
hearts turn grey.
hearts turn sour.

and now you wonder , does anything matter if all we end up with is sadness and loneliness?
all we have is ourselves.
lonesome weary souls trying to find a way in an ocean of mindless waves.
bits and pieces of dust and blood stick together as we bathe in our tears.
what’s the point?

nothing tends to last forever.
things turn grey.
things turn sour.
hearts turn grey.
hearts turn sour.

Silent Stepping Stones

First poem of mine that i’m showing to others. i got offered to publish it but i kinda turned it down. i wrote it for karine for her birthday last year.

Silent Stepping Stones

Tainted by love, hidden from reality.
Sweet kisses hide us from the cruelty out there.
No more fear, no more pain,
All our worries are shadowed by our passion.
Rationality crumbles apart as our hearts take over.
Droplets of blood taste sweet like wine.
Trails of ruby red run down our fingertips as the night grows
weary and somber.
We find ourselves melting away into the early morn.
The complexity of our future is masked by the simplicity of
beauty and mystery.
Though we wander, and we often question about wonders.
Personal conquests and victories are the stepping stones that
lead our way out of what we know so well.
Take it all in, or throw it all back.
Is there any other way to go about?
Silence. Silence. Silence is golden.
Escape, unleash, discover.
Open our hearts, and release the chains from our minds.
Until tomorrow comes, we shall await our time to blossom.
