Louis Vuitton puts the LV in Love

I have been raving about the new Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 collection. It is so elegant, chic, feminine, and, of course, fashionable.

In my opinion, the A line skirts topped with form fitting tops (somewhat reminiscent of a laid back corset) that accentuate the curves of a woman is one of the major fashion icons for this upcoming fall. It reminds me a lot of the Betty Crocker type dressed from the 50s, with a modern fashion twist for the 21st century. Rather than having cherry red as the main color hue seen in the 50s, the 2010 collection sports brownish-greyish tints with hints of blues, purples and greens, making this perfect for the upcoming fall fashion scene. I love how LV used different fabrics for his A line look, ranging from leather to tweeds, and incorporated cute and simple accessories like the perfect little belt or elbow length leather gloves.

We all know how some designers can go over the top at their shows, but LV’s team decided to keep everything simple, yet classy and elegant. Models’ hair were chosen to be tied back into long pony tails, with natural-esque makeup. The look definitely compliments the pieces being showcased.

My favorites of the bunch are these 2:

Tea Time Love Project

Attention all Tea lovers!

I have become inspired by Fanny’s latest post to try something new.

For all you tea devotees, let’s start a tea sharing network!

Green tea, black tea, white tea, red tea, you name it!

and how does this work you may ask?

Step 1- Name your favorite tea and why. You can also provide a brief description.

Well, I’ll start. Right now my favorite tea is Bengal Spice by Celestial. It’s a black spiced tea, that has a combination of vanilla, cinnamon, and other spices. It has to be brewed for quite a while so all the natural sweetness comes out.

Step 2- Seek other tea lovers, and ask what they’re favorite tea is and why.

Now, here’s your cue: What is your favorite tea?

Step 3- Trade addresses, and send each other a sample of each other’s favorite tea, along with some goodies 🙂

Step 4- Share your opinions, thoughts, and experience on your blog, and then continue onto the next tea lover!

hooray hooray hooray!

So, who’s in? I think this will be such a fun way to network with other tea lovers and make new friends.

Cheers!

Henna

Some beautiful pictures from my friend’s traditional Moroccan Henna ceremony before  her wedding. The henna, a type of plant,  is put on the hands, which stains it a dark orange for about 10 days. It is thought to bring luck and mark that there has been a celebration. Rather than making designs like gimmick henna tattoos, the tradition is to just smear it on and let it seep into the skin.

Beautiful.

the song i’m feeling…

“Teardrop” by Jose Gonzalez

Love, love is a verb
Love is a doing word
Feathers on my breath
Gentle impulsion
Shakes me makes me lighter
Feathers on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Feathers on my breath

Night, night of matter
Black flowers blossom
Feathers on my breath
Teardrop on the fire of a confession
Feathers on my breath
Black flowers blossom
Feathers on my breath

Water is my eye
Most faithful mirror
Feathers on my breath
Teardrop on the fire of a confession
Feathers on my breath
Most faithful mirror
Feathers on my breath
Teardrop on the fire
Feathers on my breath

You’re stumbling into harm
Stumbling into harm

This song is absolutely amazing, and so is it’s music video. The words, the voice, the guitar… I simply cannot express how great it is. The way I interpret the song is that a man is so in love, but falls into temptation and impulse. His guilt is bringing him down. He can’t face himself.  Though, he knows he must. Everything becomes dark.  While looking into a mirror, he breaks down. Teardrops are his confession of his guilt, his recklessness. In the end, he faces himself with what he’s done, and realizes the harm he’s done.

Beautiful.
